Does anyone know how to estimate-evaluate VDS(sat)?
For short-channel devices, VDS(sat)≠VGS-Vth.
How can I estimate VDS(sat) using Gm/IDS approach and ADS simulator?

Take a look at site
https://ccnet.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/course.cgi?cc=ee214&action=handout_download&handout_id=ID123204486720746" especially page at page (8 of 21).

According to this plot (“VDSsat” Estimate Based on gm/ID), VDSsat has bigger value than Vover-drive=VGS - Vth!! How does this can happen? We know from analog books that VDS(sat) comes earlier than VDS(sat)-square law=VGS -Vth because of velocity saturation! Can anybody explain me this plot?

Thanks!
