I HAVE A cmos JK 807A CAMERA:

number of pixel: 628(h)x582(v)<PAL>,
Resolution:380 lines.
scaning frequency:50 Hz
min.lllumination: 0.2~3 Lux
S/N ratio : 40db
white balance : Auto
video output 1.0 Vpp composite 75ohm
power supply:Dc 9v.

my project is "Real time video capture and image processing using fpga".
i plan for edge detection of the input video or brightness control of
the video.so as exercise i connect camera output to video_IN, monitor
connect to VGA out on DE2 board.I use the DE2_TV project (demo of Altera),
download DE2_TV.sof (bitstreams) to Cyclone in DE2.But the i did not
getting any video.when disconect the camera from TV_In,Monitor display
the blue screen.I think the verilog code I2C_AV_Config block has problems
to miss config the ADV7181B, i edit it and complie but not successful.
the DE2_TV might has some other problems for my project, but i don't know.

First of all take a quick look at:

**broken link removed**

Maybe what you can do is to use a normal VCR or any other video source as your first try to see if your test code works, then connect the camera and see if you still have the problem.

The problem maybe that your video sources is not strong enough or something is missing in the setting of the chip that is not expecting the type of signal you are providing.

Cheers,
