USB mobile interface

Hey guys i wanted to ask if anyone has yet interfaced any mobile phone which had usb data cable with the new pic 184550???

Re: USB mobile interface

I don't know of a phone that can act as a host, the PIC is a device and cannot do this task.

USB mobile interface

As daviddlc indicates, phones are going to be USB peripherals and need to connect to a USB host. So you'd have to use a PIC that supports OTG (several PIC24F devices) or that supports USB Host mode (PIC32 only). None of the 8-bits PIC's support these modes.
