Hi all!

I'm just curious if it's possible to disable the farfield approximation in farfield display (I know this sentence is a bit misleading :)
I mean the line

Approximation = enabled (kR >> 1)

I've tried to set the reference distance in "Plot mode" but nothing..

Help says:
Reference distance: Set the radius of the virtual sphere for which the farfield is calculated. Available for plot modes e-field / h-field and power pattern.

if I change distance nothing is done with the pattern, only the magnitude is changed.

Please see also the "Farfield View" section in HTML help and look at the table at bottom -> for Radial and Radial phase there's farfield approximation off!!!

Thanks for any clue!!

regards,

Hi Eirp,

if you select E-field or H field as plot mode, you can switch off the "use farfield approximation" under Farfield Plot-> general

Hope this helps,

F.

It helped me a lot!!! Sorry my blind eyes :)
Thanks! /eirp
