pic microcontroller serial

Hello everyone. I have a project and i need some help

I want to sent a ccommand through matlab to pic and then react with a servo.

Till now i manage to send, lets say for example the character "N" (or enything i don't care) with matlab but i can't make my microcontroller (pic16f628) do anything.

Now i need your help with the pic. It just can't compare the character "N" with something in the code
in case i sent "something else" do nothin
in case i sent "N" do what i want

i would be REALLY greatefull at any help
