matlab modelling

Hello,
I am working On Digital to Analog Converter. In first Initial phase, I would like to do modeling of DAC using Matlab. Can you tell me how it is possible ? and what are the GUI application software i have to use and which are freely available and have strong and close approximation. can i use simulink GUI for it.

Please tell me in detail if anybody have done this earlier. I will be very much thankful to you guys.......!!!!

Can u explain a bit more as what type of modeling of DAC u are interested in ????
simple binary to decimal conversion or more then that ......

DAC has current steering Topology. i want to do complete block level modeling on matlab. i am also using binary to thermometer conversion.my main question is how can we do modeling ? and with help of matlab how can we see the result as graphically.

modelling in matlab

I have not personally done this, but I have seen people use simulink for their modeling. Simulink is a very very powerful and for system level modeling, it could be one of your best options available,

can anybody help me in this topic.

please help me
I will be thankful to you....!!

how to start modeling using matlab

do you have any mathematical equation for your system?

decimal to binary converter in matlab simulink

I think you should use simulink and matlab together.I remember there's some books about electronics with matlab and simulink. You can google it.
Let's try it!!!

modeling using matlab

An ideal current steering DAC ***adds*** the current of properly ***weighted*** current sources to create the output current. The current sources might have a certain distribution or ***mismatch*** that depends on their weight (and location). Here is your DAC model: an array containing the current sources weight multiplied by the input word.

I think you should now sth about your model on the paper or your mind then using MATLAB/Simulink.
It seems you don't have any model and looking for sth ready to use is it correct?
you can also use other tools like SPICE, Maple, HDLs, and even LabView with Matlab to do such thing it depends on you models...
e.g. if you work at Cell Design level you can use HSPICE simulation result in Matlab without any logical programming and blah,blah..

I also want to know the matlab code or simulink model of thd CS DAC, thanx for your kindness
