Hi,

when the oscilloscope is working for more than 30 minutes then it happens pretty often that all the signal is displayed at the left edge of the screen, for example, instead of viewing a nice sine signal, I see a vertical line at the left. What may be the problem?

Thank you very much

Do you see the signal at very left of the screen? if yes, there might be a problem of horizontal scanning problem.

yes, I see the signal at the very left of the screen, just in one vertical line. I have the schematics of the oscilloscope because this model included them into user manual, but I am not sure where I have to have a look.

May be if this is a frecuent problem, someone may give me some tip.

Thank you !

Since the problem occurs after a certain period, you're probably looking at a faulty IC or a bad solder joint/connection somewhere in the timebase section. Although I do work for a Hameg dealer, I don't have a circuit diagram to hand to be more specific, I'm sorry.

I will try to get a second scope to check the time base, I know that the scope has a output at the rear for the time base signal.

Thank you!

Carefull... there's some pretty high DC voltages floating around the CRT if you're going to be measuring inside one of those while it's in operation.

Hi,
is it possible to send me the circuit diagrams by email or PM me?

Thanking in advance
