psrr opamp

Does anyone know how to evaluate the PSRR of an op-amp practically on a simulator like PSpice or Cadence?

PSRR=20*log(change in supply voltage/ change in input offset voltage)

How do I calculate the input offset voltage? Do the 2 differential inputs of the input stage need to be grounded to evaluate the output offset?

psrr op amp

For PSRR , do a AC simulation in Cadence. I mean, connect a AC source serially to DC power supply and terminate with a convenient load at the output. Do AC simulation from DC to 100 MHz and consult Bandwith between the sources. You'll find a lowpass curve and this will be also PSRR behaviour.

op amp psrr

Hi,

in order to find the input offset voltage, connect the op amp as a buffer (Av=1 V/V)...then sweep the dc connected at the input (let say from 0 to Vcc)...then plot the input and output waveform versus dc input....

then you will see the two waveforms, i.e. the input and output wave forms, that do not overlap to each other. the distance between them is the offset voltage. if they are overlapping to each other, then there is no offset voltage.

hope can clarify your question.

thx
