ic610 centos

Hello,
Please advice the best OS system to install Cadence IC5141 & IC610. I prefer installation with simple steps, so which OS is suitable? Thanks.

regards,
Kumar

cadence ic610 run on rhel4.2

RHEL4 or CentOS4
Both of two versions could be run on it

I also installed IC5141 on CentOS 5.2 and it runs without any problems. Good luck on installing on Fedora 11. I also tried to install on a Fedora distro but I gave up because of the problems that came up on installation of IC5141.

I'm not sure you can find rehl 4 easily and even if you can I don't know how legal it is and how it is with updates.

You can have any distro for day to day use and have all the files of a CentOS 4 install into which you can chroot when I want to run the software.

I've been testing also with CentOS 5 and everything seems to be running well.

Scientific linux is one more option
it is one enhanced version of RHEL madee by CERN(remember angels and daemons movie)

cadence and mentor works fine in this

hi, _SquiD_.

How did you manage to run ic5141 on CentOS 52? When I launch icfb, I get the following error message: "/bin/sh: error while loading shared libraries: libdl.so.2: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS32"

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
