overcom noise in mcu

hello guys
i'm using 18f452 in my project (switch mode power supply)
in high power i got some problem such as reseting micro .
how i can overcome this problem
thanks in advance

Re: overcom noise in mcu

1. Use a 5V1 TVS (Transient Voltage Supreessor) across the 5 V rail.
2. Use 0.1uF decoupling caps (preferable tantulam) near the VCC pin of the uC and also spread it around the board.

Cheers

Re: overcom noise in mcu

If you are using the 18F to control the SMPS, then it is equivalent to automotive application.

If you have enabled the WDT, the WDT is resetting the uC and not letting it hang.

You will have to recover from WDT timeout and continue operation. Use the TO bit and recover your process.

If the reset is due to WDT, bypass certain registers that you initialise and continue wih the task.

Hope this helps.

Cheers

Ravi
