stranger's question

I have learned digital design for a long time ,but my boss want me to learn about anolog design. What can I do as a stranger? In an other word, what book need I read firstly?
help me .

Re: stranger's question

I would suggest first reading a hobby level book. One example is the amateur radio handbooks put out by the RSGB and ARRL. Then read a first year university text on the subject.

there are many many valuable books for the analogy design, where u can find them in the library or university's material room. what i said seems a bullshit.lol

Razavi's Design of Analog CMOS Integrated Circuits is very useful to you.

Re: stranger's question

Paul Gray and Ken Martin's books are not bad.

Re: stranger's question

I had a very very tough time learning analog design....i highly recommend electronic principles physics, models, and circuits by paul e.gray and campbell l.searle

the book is one of a kind....i got my real insight into the subject from this book and really started my analog from this one book......and then it was all down slope and easy......m.s.ghausi's electronic circuits and gray and meyer analog ic design, and razavi and johns and martin and load of others were all ok.....but honestly the book which i feel is really the mother of all for starting analog circuit design is the first one i mentioned....i have not seen many courses mention it....I hope that there are some good pple in analog design on this forum who will also agree.....just wanted to share my experience so that it will help some person out there......if u have not understood or feel u are not comfortable with analog.......try this one also......for sure it will help you

hello
visit MCU fileman link below

Re: stranger's question

Books:
--------
Analog Integrated Circuit Design (David John/Ken Martin)
Design of Analog Integrated Circuits ( Behzad Razavi)
The Art of Analog Layout (Alan Hastings)
Analysis and Design of Analog Integrated Circuits (Grey/Meyer)

Professor Paul Allen's website
+ https://users.ece.gatech.edu/~pallen/

www.cadence.com (they have some nice demos for analog and digital design tools)

Tools and providers :
Hspice (avanticorp) L-Edit(Tanner research) , Cadence, Mentor Graphics, Synopsys, Hewlett-Packard's Advanced Design System, AnalogInsydes(not so major). ELDO, Labview (National Instruments), MATLAB(Mathworks), Mathematica(Wolfram Research), Maple(University of WaterLoo), ASITIC for inductor design(Prof. Niknejad's website) etc etc.

Be busy for a lifetime...

stranger's question

i think for beginner, the Ken Martin book is most appropriate. this book covers a wide range of materials but depth remain suitable for beginners.

for more indepth information, i personally like the Gray, Hurst, Lewis Mayer book.

hope this helps

Re: stranger's question

U should read "Microelectronics Circuits Design" by Sedra/Smith.

Re: stranger's question

One must never overlook Robert Pease wisdom. His great book; "Troubleshooting Analog Circuits" is a must read for analog design.
