5amp current source diagram

Hi firends, I tried using LM2576 for constant current source upto 1.5A it's working fine. actually i have to design constant current source upto 5A. Is it possible to boot up the current of LM2576 by using some external components (like power transistor) or is their any higher version of LM2576?

what suggestions are you having? Kindly reply.

try with LM2678, 5A, Simple Switcher, Step-down voltage regulator

Hee's the original diagram , i had modified it according to my needs(for which i haven't yet drawn the diagram).
