ads component library

Hello,

Sorry I have already posted this in another forum, however I believe this one is more appropriate.

I was wishing to download some ADS component models for NXP mosfet components.

I visited the Agilent website but I keep getting redirected to the modelithics website who require me to pay for models and there is a limited number.

I visited the NXP web site but the models I believe are in a format that are not compatible with ADS.

Are component models for ADS freely available? Can I convert say the models on the NXP website into a format that is compatible with the ADS software.

Thankyou

Yes, for example you can download the Freescale design kit on their website. What is the file format of nxp models?

The NXP website offers both Small Signal S-Parameter models and Spice models. Both can be used within ADS. The S-parameters are most applicable if you with to do linear simulations. The Spice models are best used in Harmonic Balance and Transient/Convolution analysis.

Okay then,

How do I go about importing a spice library into ADS?

Thanks for the help

Hello and thanks,

I think I have found the solution on another post on this website

n ADS main window, try use

File --> Import --> More option --> PSPICE

Hey Again,

I have managed to successfully import a spice model and save it to the user library.

Is it possible to assign a symbol to the model in ADS eg an NMOS transistor symbol.

Thankyou
