Problems with IE3D

Hello guys!

i simulate a 24GHz patch antenna with IE3D and after a made this antenna and measure it but the result if very different.
my resonant frequency is near 23.5 GHz in real.

where did my problem come from?
is it a problem of simulation ?

thanks for your experience and answer

Problems with IE3D

Did you simulated the antenna with finite ground plane?
Also confirm the loss tangent and dielectric permitivity of the PCB you are using during IE3D design. Try to increase bandwidth a little.
Try increasing the mesh frequency
Or simply analyze the same design to achieve resonant frequency of 23.5 GHz. This way you will know which parameter is affecting the resonant frequency

Re: Problems with IE3D

hi!

i simulate my design with an infinite ground plane beause its take a long time to simulate with a finite ground plane.

today i'll try to give you some news

thanks
