charge pump efficiency

Hi

I have made a Dickson-based charge pump that is harvested by RF signal. The output voltage and power efficiency will be different depending on how many stages you have.

My question is how to simulate power efficiency in Cadence. I have no problem to calculate the input power (average(vt*it) at Vinput side). However, I don't know how to do this at output side so that I can calculate power efficiency.

Thank you for your kind and clever answers.

power efficiency charge pump

try to use the integrate function to integrate the output current over a period of time and divide by that time multiplied by the output voltage .

u can use integ function in cadence spectre to do finite integral between two time stamps.

hope this works
