model names in netlist

The netlist format of a MOS in Hspice is like:

M1 w=?? l=?? m=?? model name as=?? ad=?? ps=?? pd=??

While producing hspice netlist using cadence, the MOS device's model name is not being included in the netlist.

I checked 'edit simulation information' in tools>cdf>edit and found that 'componentName' contains the model name information, but in the netlist it's not coming.

Anyone knows the solution?

modelname

Hi,

If u r using GPDK or PDK, then model names are automatically bind to your MOS symbol and you can see this model name in context menu (edit-> prop-> objects)

If you are using a general models, then you should manually add these to MOS symbols while placing it(generally) along with width and length. so that they will appear when you extract netlist

Hope this helps.

Thanks,
