lumped port hfss phase

Hi everybody,

I am currently working on a project in HFSS and I would like to simulate two different antennas both excited by a lumped port one with a phase difference of 180° from the other. But I can't find out how to change the phase of a Lumped port....

I have to use lumped ports because I am dealing with dipole antennas.

Can someone give me a clue of how to proceed with that?

Thanks!:D

hfss difference phase port

go to HFSS > Fields > Edit sources....

Then put the amplitude and phase of the excitation.

port phase in hfss

Hi shameemkabir,

Thanks for the tip, but I have already tried that, and it appears that the field "phase" is locked in the dialog box "Edit source".

I cannot change the value wich is 0° by default

Hi:

You should put your desired phase under the "Offset Phase" column. and set your unit under the "Unit" column.

Good luck

you should change the column "Scaling factor" and "Offset phase". Changing the offset phase to 0 and 180 degree works for me (scaling factor is 1 for both cases).

Thanks a lot guys!

I haven't noticed this obvious column!

It works now.

Take Care and Thanks again!
