about antenna

iam designing a tuning fork type uwb patch antenna ..iam getting a gain of around 4.2 dbi....but rectangular patch antenna has a gain of 6 to 7 dbi but im getting around 2.1dbi but im getting a bandwidth of 10.1GHz how to increase the gain for eactangular patch antenna

Re: about antenna

So, you get 10.1 GHz bandwidth, and 2.1dBi of gain with a rectangular patch antenna !?
Don’t touch anything, and get a patent on this…

Re: about antenna

hello vfone

iam implementing a paper ...so how can i increase the gain for that antenna ..normally rectangular patch has 6to7dbi gain..but im getting a gain of 2.1dbi how to increase it ....which parameters i need 2 change

Re: about antenna

u can change the bandwidth of the antenna by increasing the size of substrate height.or u can use aperture coupled feed which will actually help reduce the coupling loss and increase your bandwidth.

if u have anymore questions do let me know
