Calibre Interactive

Hello,

I am looking for a layout verification tool (DRC, LVS, extraction...) and I came across Calibre Interactive. Have anyone used it before?
Does it have everything that I need (DRC, LVS, parasitic extraction)?
Is it easy to install?
How easy is it to use compare to Diva? (from what I heard, it only allows gds layout format)
MORE IMPORTANTLY, where can I download Calibre Interactive? I found this page on Mentor Graphic's web site: https://www.mentor.com/products/ic_...ff/physical-verification/calibre-interactive/, but it doesn't mention anything about how to obtain this tool.

I am currently using Cadence Virtuoso 6.1.3, so I am familiar with Diva already, but I plan to design a layout using IBM 45nm PDK, and it does not support Diva, that's why I need to look for anothe verification tool.

Thanks in advance for any insight/suggestion

Michael

IBM kits only support Calibre (Mentor Graphics), Hercules (Synopsys) and Assura (Cadence) for physical verification. As per MOSIS website, 12SOI supports Calibre, Hercules and Quartz (never heard of it). The environment setup for Calibre and Assura are provided with the PDK. Calibre supports DRC, LVS and parasitic extraction (xRC), and can be easily integrated into Cadence Virtuoso using the scripts provided by IBM. Not sure about Hercules, I've never used it. Synopsys and Mentor should have a site analogous to Cadence Sourcelink to download their tools. You should contact your network admin or technology provider for acquiring these tools.
