seven segment with timer ic

Hi, How you are all? I need a help from you,I want to know that how can I interface seven segment display with any timing circuit? Which can display a time of few seconds. Plz provide any related document or schematic diagram. Thanks.

7 segment counter circuit

well it has long answer

briefly speaking, first u have to make that timing ciruit,
then u have to choose which 7 segment u will choose ... common cathode or common anode.

then u can check which one led will turn on my cheking its data sheet.
well if u r totally new in electronics then it would b difficult to make it urself, u should consult som document. let me search

https://www.8051projects.net/pic_tutorial/programming-example.php

but this will reuire for u to program a microcontroller

check the folling one

seven segment display circuit

Can we interface 7 segment display with 555 timer??If yes,,how??

seven segment display interfacing

You will need to connect the 555 to a counter, then from the counter to a 7-segment decoder and from there to the 7 segments.

You may want to multiplex the 7 segment in order to make it more efficient and save current consumption but that will require additional circuits.

Consider you can use Common Cathode or Common Anode configurations.

as much as i agree microcontroller is the simpler way out i suggest you make it by means of a flipflop design with the 555 timer acting as the clock for transition, synchronus circuit will be more than enough then taking the output on to the 7 segment.

first of all do you know how to check for the segments sequence? like determine which pin belongs to which segment and weather the 7 segment is common cathode or common anode?

let me know and i will be posting a circuit for you soon :)

7 segment display circuit

There is any shematics that can help me??

seven segment circuit

here's a 3-Digit Counter circuit built around a 14553 IC for your reference

7 segment circuit

to connect 7 segment display with timing circuit we need decoder driver for 7 segment,it's ic # may be 74154 or some what, for 555 timer to connect with 7 seg 1st we've o put counter which can get clock from 555 then use that same technique

7 segment display circuits

use 4029 ic it is a decade counter and internal 7 segment driver
to its input clock connect a 555 which is generating a output waveform of 1 sec

you will get the seconds displayed in a simple circuit without using a microcontroller

One more option, is SN74C926 4-Digit Counters with Multiplexed 7-Segment Output Drivers See the data sheet for detail.
