Hi,

Hope someone out there can kindly help on this topic.

How to set up port definition for grounded CPW in Ansoft HFSS? If you have a screenshot, do you mind sending to me? joechien0218@yahoo.com

Specifically, I'm wondering where the excitation vector should be placed. For NON-grounded CPW, I know that the excitation vector points from the ground plane to the center conductor. But when the bottom side ground is present, I'm confused as to where this vector should be placed at.

Also, how big should the waveport be in general? Is there a general rule of thumb?

Thanks for your help guys! Please email me if you have something to share.
Joe
