arm boot sequence

Dear Friends,
Can any one help me out with the steps involved in Booting for ARM.I want to know if ARM is a part of the SOC design, for functional verification What is the boot sequence that is involved in the verification environment. As far as I remember the Image is copied to the FLASH memory from where the ARM starts booting up.Once the initialization is done than the verilog part monitors the interrupt set on the GPIO and kicks of the further simulation.

Please help me out in understanding more clearly..

Thanks in advance

Regards,
Jeev

steps of booting

In fact ,for SOC simulation, arm will boot code from flash and then configure the ddr2 controller , after the ddr2 controller is enabled, arm will read the code from the ddr or ddr2 device!
