hspice ade

Hello,

I'm a student working through an introductory VLSI course at my university using the NCSU 1.6 beta PDK. The divaEXT.rul set uses NCSU_Analog_Parts kit included to extract my layout information for simulation and this kit does not have information for hspiceD. We use a workaround (hspiceS) and then manually edit the generated netlist which is a horrible hack.

I've found that another libary, analogLib, under dfII/etc/artist/... allows me to simulate at the schematic level with hspiceD through ADE L. But, I don't know how to make it so layout extraction also uses the parts in analogLib.

Could someone please recommend alternatives for me? I'm not sure if analogLib is even the ideal workaround for my case. Also, I'd prefer to use hspiceD rather than learn spectre or UltraSim.

I would appreciate any assistance!
