Chopper stabilization!

what is it chopper stabilization. and how it take care of Flicker noise and offsetr voltage in diffrential amp.

Re: Chopper stabilization!

The concept is failry simple:

you modulate the input signal at slightly higher frequency than DC (so offset does not count anymore and flicker noise impact is highly reduced). At this frequency the amplifier gain is still high, then, you demodulate the signal at the output.

Re: Chopper stabilization!

Nathan,
Can you pls elaborate on the same. How exactly do we the modulation (up-conversion) and demodulation in the device.
Lets us consider the case of the opam in the ADC then how we are going to take care of the offset voltage using the chopper stabilization so that the harmonic distortion in the the ADC is less.
Will this upconverter and downconverter will not add some nonlinerity to our circuit are we not shifting the proble for one domain to other.
Can you tell me various method to reduce the offset voltage.

Re: Chopper stabilization!

Just look at the attachement form ... there is a "Free mirror" label below the word "Download". But it works after few days the posting date.

Chopper stabilization!

Have anyone tried using this technique and successfully simulated it using Cadence? Really appreciate any help. Thanks

Chopper stabilization!

thanks for the paper

Chopper stabilization!

I really need this paper but i dont have enough points.Cld anyone tell me how 2 earn the points?
