The usual steps would be to hook up a monitor, mouse, and keyboard. Then power up to see if it works. The machine should go through POST, and then look for an operating system on the hard drive.

A machine this old that would probably be Windows 98SE, or Windows XP Home Edition, or perhaps (heaven forbid) Windows ME. If no OS can be found, then you're going to have to get one and install it - that probably will mean you need a CD ROM player also installed.

hello
yes in all the confusion of trying to get this computer to boot up, we found some real issues with the mechanic of the cpu to start. we had to re config the entire system and up date alot of the hard ware i had saved over the years... and up grade the processor to a pentium 4 by intel., once that and a few other tweaks we're performed the computer booted up with a few glitches, and errors, but thats normal and i now have a computer that works .... i will upgrading the board at a later date, and some of the hard ware as i collect it , but this computer is bound for many fun upgrades and uses in years to come.......
thanks again for all you tech support and i will keep this site as a reference for futher updates, and builds........... thanks ya'l :D
