calculating battery life

Hello,

I had all my notes on this subject but I somehow lost them:|. And now I need to calculate the battery life for a circuit board I am working on. Can some1 please help with the steps I would use to calculate this?

I am using 4 AAA batteries in series (+6V)
The Capacity for these Lithium e2 batteries are 125AH

My circuit consists of:
- voltage regulator
- Microcontroller
- isd voice chip
- lm386 op amp
- 8 ohm speaker

Thank You for any help

Try accurate calculating with battery ESR.

how to calculate battery life

Keep in mind that the nominal battery capacity is only reached when you discharge it with a constant current. Your system power consumpion will be strongly variable, so charge effectively available could be as low as 60% of the nominal charge or worse.

calculate battery life ah

I answered these questions a few minutes ago on another website.

The tiny AAA battery cell does not have the 125Ah capacity of a huge truck battery. Its datasheet is on Energizer's website. It is only 1.2Ah (1200mAh)

The capacity is 1200mAh when the current is from 25mA to 400mA and the voltage is allowed to drop to 0.9V per cell (3.6V for your 4-cells battery).

We don't know how loud your sounds will be and how often so we don't know how much current the amplifier will draw. It even draws a small current when it makes no sound. So calculate the current from how loud and how long you guess.
Look up the current of the other ICs on their datasheets.

Battery consume more power while charging coz of internal resistance

The Energizer AAA Lithium battery cells are not rechargeable.
