Hi

Top side SMT component should accept only top trace but instead it is accepting both the top aswell as bottom trace without via. Here I'm using PAD Power PCB version -3.0.

SureshR.

explain the problem a bit more. It seems like your pad has land pattern in both top and bottom plane. Check your footprint.

mimoto

Hi,

Now I'm doing 6 layer board. Top and bottom used for componet placement . Remaining layers 2 and 5 for ground and power. 3 and 4 for routing. this top layer SMT component's pad should accept only top trace instead it is accepting all layer trace without via.

Regards,
R.Suresh.

u should setup rules

Its not possible for routing a top mounted smt component in bottom layer this is conformed .But you say that you are able to route so i think just you can view it but if it ends it will end only in via.

hi suresh!
you veryfi the part pads(i.e., Bottom side also Pad size applied).

havi

just check the information of inner layer and opposite side in padstack

May be you should check the pads in the libraly whether they are assigned to be which layer. They should be top or bottom layer not the multilayer
