patch antenna simulation

Dear All,

I have tried to simulate a microstrip patch antenna. I got reasonable return loss and directivity. However, the simulated gain and radiation efficiency are not good. I think that the problem is from the way of modeling on the HFSS. I have attached the simulation file in the message. Can anyone tell me what is the problem of that model? Thanks.

Best Regards,
Mshafee

antenna simulation

am having the same problem!

But i've read once that adding a relatively high permitivity material above the patch (superstrate) would solve the problem, for my design it enhanced the gain but it reduced the bandwidth :(

Try it, maybe it will give better results with u!

patchantenne simulation

Dear eng.dreamer,

Thanks for your reply. I did not get what you suggest. Do you mean to add a another material above the substrate instead of air? . Thanks.

patch antenne simulation

Dear Mshafee
I downloaded your design; but could not simulate it. It has some errors during the simulation. Can you chack the file you've attached?

I have the Microstrip Patch Antenna design with different type of Excitation. I'm not expert in this field, but you may find somthing helpfull in it.

Good Luck

hi
u can get help from emtalk.com
