Help me with high OE signal on PIC 18c801

Pic 18c801 problem

Hi guys. I have a problem with my first pic micro. I use pic18c801 with an external EPROM. And after switching on the power supply, signal OE (output enable) of the micro is high. And it never goes low to read a code from a eprom. What can I do? I really need help!!!

Hi !

You must place the Configuration-Word in your external Flash.
With the PIC18C601 and 801 it is hard to start but thera are very usefull
Microcontroller.

Look at the Microchip homepage (www.microchip.com) !!
There a lot of Tips and Tricks on this side.

Also realy important to read the Errata-Sheets !

Free Bootloadersoftware for the PIC18C601 and 801 are free
for download, also all important infos avaiable for a better start !!

Hi,
10x for answers, but i read all data and erata sheets.
How can I put the configuration word in my flash? Sorry, but this is my first pic design and I really need help.
And why the OE pin didnt clock down to select and read code from external flash?
