pmos bulk

Hi,

Where should you connect the bulk terminal of an NMOS and PMOS and why?

regards

nmos bulk

Ideally the bulk should be connected to the source to take care of the body effect. Unfortunately, to be able to do this you need a triple well technology... So, the NMOS bulk goes to ground and the PMOS bulk goes to VDD.

bulk pmos

what do you mean by body effect? can you explain further please?
