hi there!

I've built an ICD2 clone that have both interfaces: USB (pic18LF4550 as bridge) and RS232 (pic16f877a as main controller)

It's just a potyo2 with a max232 and a db9 connector
each pic (f877a and lf4550) has its own 20mhz xtal

the serial interface works well, icd2 can connect, download os, program, self-test ok, ...

the usb interface is working and detected by winXP and drivers installed without problem but mplab cannot comunicate with icd2 :(
the 8 bit interface (877a<->4550) is ok, cs,rd and wr signals too

maybe the 2 xtals can cause this problem???
maybe the LF version of 4550 can cause this problem? (it's +5vcc powerd so there should be no limitation to core speed)
any suggestion?

thanks in advance
