Circuit Needed - looking for help

Circuit Needed

I need a circuit that will turn on low voltage (12VDC) from a contact closure that I already have. I cannot put any voltage on the contact closures. Can someone please help me? tHANKS .

Hi.
It is impossible to detect contact shorting, with no voltage applied to contacts,
It may not necessary e 12V, but you SHOULD apply some voltage to contacts! From another point of view, the contacts NEED some current to flow in order to avoid oxiding, also.

Please supply a drawing of the existing switch circuit,with brief explanation.
