I do not want to run Orcad with wine in Linux.
Thanks in advance.

linux schematic capture

Native on linux I know only PCB. Its free to download But it is only for layout (not shematic).
http://sourceforge.net/projects/pcb/

There is a more complete package named GEDA that it use PCB as its layout tool but I have not use it never.
It is also free to download
http://www.geda.seul.org/

There exist also eagle for linux

And xcircuit is a cool light programm I use but more general and not only shematic oriented

(if with "compatible" you mean that you want to use your orcad shematics in this programms (or reverse), I dont thing that you can with any of the above...)

orcad for linux

gEDA is not so much an EDA package as it is a collection of tools which mostly work well together. I've been using it recently for PCB design. The way that works is, you make a schematic in gschem and specify the PCB footprint of each device. Then you run a command line program to generate a starting PCB with a netlist to give you a rat's nest that you can route.

It works, but not easily. If you just want SPICE-compatible netlists, though, gschem will work acceptably.

linux orcad

hi,
the cadence tools concept hdl (schematic entry) and allegro pcd editor (layout) works with linux. but this is expensive and complex.
