setup cs5532

Does voltage on the reference input of this ADC affects the result type of the output? Or it's not related to that. E.g there will be positive and negative voltages which will come from the loadcell to the inputs of this ADC. There is a bit for the output type in the channel setup register of this ADC that arranges output as either bipolar or unipolar. Is the reference voltage also important to get bipolar output? E.g 2.5V ref voltage for 5V supply?

No. If you don't know from understanding the CS5532 operation principle, you can see this from the voltage setup in the data sheet. It uses bipolar mode with a positive reference. Actually the Vref differential counts. Furthermore, all input voltages (including references) have to be within the Va+/Va- supply span.

The specifications are for 5V reference only, if I understand right. A lower reference may be particularly meaningful, if the ADC range isn't utilized by your input signal otherwise.

Ok i understand when i read FAQ. Polarity is not related to reference voltage, but it affects input voltage span.
