Noise shaping filter

I would like to design a noise shaping filter to shift the quatization noise to higher spectron . Currently , i found a lot of papar said i can use the SDM as Noise shaping filter but i dont fully understand because most of them are papers not enough detail and i wondeing is there another way to do this !

Anyone can give me the suggestion ?

Re: Noise shaping filter

The following is some good book about sigma delta converter.
1.understanding sigma delta converter
2.sigma delte converter simulation/model
3.oversampled delta sigma converter.

Re: Noise shaping filter

Hi,
SDM increases the sampling rate and using a Delta modulator kind of structre reduces the quantization noise. However this comes with a price. You need to use more number of bits for representation. It is very expensive for communication receivers. I hope you have considered this.

Re: Noise shaping filter

I think sigma delta modulation is the only choice.
Good Luck

Re: Noise shaping filter

First you should understand the delta modulation. And then you will know why every one use noise shaping filter to shaping the quantization error to reach the requirement.

Re: Noise shaping filter

I think Nosie shaping filter is good , you can simulate one using matlab and get some points
