Anyone has experience in choosing or comparing DAQ PCB card? I need a methodological approach in comparing two analog data acquisition cards. Andybody can help me out? Thanks a lot.

of sourse you have to look at input types at first. for instance there are 0-5V , 0-10V or 4-20mA analog data acquisition boards for industrial purposes in general. If you need a analog DAQ board for special purposes (ultra fast, high voltage etc) you have to look sampling ratio, input 3dB bandwidth, noise factor etc. It is also important which communication interfaces does it have. I would prefer USB2.0 or special PCI board for fast DAQ boards.

Thanks for reply. I do know my requirements, such as sampling rate, resolution, input range, bandwidth. My current concern is how to compare two cards with similar specs? put it another way, how to measure the actual characteristics of the DAQ cards? eg. how to measue dynamic range, temperature drift, the non-linearity of the ADC, DAC? Anybody can give me some hints? Thanks in advance.
