Hello everyone,

I need a circuit to control a 12Volt rellay with a cell phone. Please anyone give me the idea. Please also tell me that where i can get the control signal from cell phone to turn on the circuit (rellay circuit).
Thanks

Ofcourse you can do it if you have 2 cellphones. Make a call from one phone to the other and you must have some auto answer facility on the latter. Now when you press any key on the first phone you can hear a DTMF signal (corresponding to the key you pressed) on the second phone. You may tap the earphone/headset output of the second phone and decode the DTMF signal using a DTMF decoder or a microcontroller.

I haven't experimented this yet and is trying to do a similar project. Wish you good luck!

With SMS feature you can control any external hardware. This capability come from some type of cell phones which has serial port capability.

regards davood.
