scale factor 0.3

Hi All,

I am not sure if this post is related to this part of the forum, nonetheless it is related to CAD. I am electrical engineering student, I did some layouts of experimental circuits and converted it to gdsii format. I am using Electric VLSI editor.

Now I have to send the gds to Mask makers with some forms, I am not sure if they will be able to determine the scale factor I used in the layouts and of course there is no field in the form which says about scale factor.

So my question is related to gdsii format, is it possible to determine scale factor directly from gdsii file. I tried to convert gdsii to ascii using free software and tried to figure out the scale , it comes out that gdsii format is saying user units is 1micron where as I am using and scale factor of 0.3 microns.

If somebody could comment on that it would be really great and I will appreciate the help.

regards
Shantanu
