hi everybody

im trying to make some active voltage probes using the ina 111 from burr-brown,
i already download the files
burr_brn.lib and
burr_brn.olb and save them in

C:\Program Files\OrCAD_Demo\Capture\Library\Pspice
but when im trying to simulated this error appears

ERROR -- Subcircuit INA111/BB used by X_U6 is undefined

how can i solve this problem?
thanks

I guess, PSpice needs - in addition to the lib-file - a symbol file (*.slb) in order to be able to place the part on the screen.
You see, it is not sufficient to download only the model descriptions. However, this restrictions, of course, applies only to the evaluation version.
I suppose, you work with this limited version, don´t you ?

simulation with ina111

You have to point to the models in the simulation settings, under the tab Configuration files.

click on libraries, then browse to where burr_brn.lib is and add it to the design.

ina111 spice model

thanks for the answers,
im working with PSPICE for students the demo version,, it is possible to use more libraries that the ones that came with the download?
I didn´t understand completely your answer max0412 can you explain it to me, cause i´m kind of beginner with the program.
thanks again

burr_brn.lib

As I´ve already mentioned, you need TWO kinds of libraries to be incorporated in the program:
1.) model library *.lib with electrical description of the part
2.) parts library *.slb (for SCHEMATICS entry) or *.olb (for CAPTURE entry),

Presently, I am not in a position to describe the whole procedure here, because it is not so simple, however, I will check my files if I find a corresponding procedure for you.

Added after 43 minutes:

Hi, gandradep.

Watch the following information:
There is a special edition of a simulation program called TINA published from Texas Instruments (TI) which can be downloaded FREE and which contains among other parts also the INA 111.

Therefore, my recommendation: Switch from PSpice to TINA.
Good luck.

ina111 orcad

i downloaded this two files
burr_brn.lib
burr_brn.olb

this Tina program that you recommend me is similar the operation to pspice?

ina111 library pspice

This program is based also on the SPICE kernel - as most of the programs commercially available. However, schematic entry is different, but more or less selfexplaining. It is really not difficult to operate. It is as good as any other simulation package incl. PSpice.

lib ina111

When you start a new simulation you use the simulation dialog's box.Go to "edit simulation settings" then click the"configuration files tab" then click libraries under category. "Browse to where you placed the burr_brn.lib select it and "add to design". Click apply.

Sorry I was in a hurry yesterday morning. You may want to get the book "Complete PCB Design Using OrCad Capture and Layout"

Orcad layout is discountinied but it has lots of useful info.

heres is a rapidshare link.
