Dear all,

I notice several things in HFSS. Please confirm when you ever noticed the same:
1. The convergence profile/curve is not the same when change the sweep method e.g. fast sweep or interpolation. Although, all other parameters remain the same.
2. Interpolation sweep works better over a broadband frequencies.

thanks.

There are 3 sweep methods, Discrete, Fast, and Interpolating.

Discrete will always give you the most accurate results. It also takes the most time. I usually always use Discrete Sweeps.

The HFSS Help menu talks about the different types.

For most of my applications the time needed for a discrete sweep is not much more then for the fast or interpolating sweep, so i don't use them too often.

If you can, use discrete sweeps.
