Hi ,

When we use "run gate clock $m $l -weight option" more than once with different modes, hw do we ensure that the second pass does not undo the work from the first pass?

thankz

Re: MAGMA CTS

hi aravind,

when we do cts in magma we do skew optimization by running
run gate clock $m -weight skew
run gate clock $m -weight slack
run gate clock $m -weight ideal (etc) in random order . each of these commands work to reduce skew, slack etc........ hw do we ensure that the first command which reduced skew does not become worse when we run the second command which aims at slack optimization and so on?

thankz

MAGMA CTS

Easy way is report_timing -endpoint -slack 0 .. So report all endpoints with slack more than 0ps.. and compare with next command (-weight slack)...

This will give an idea.. How tool work are all worst timing path.

Thanks
aravind
