microchip ac motor circuit

Hey, i am planning to build an AC monophase motor speed control using a PIC of the 8051 family. I will probably use PWM to control the frequency. I was wondering if any of you guys could give me some info aobut it (links/pdf of similar projects). I 've been googleing, but couldn't find any specific info. Thanks a lot!!

I did this AC speed control for 1 phase motor using PWM, but this project drained my blood and sweat. had to make a lot of hardware design. its too difficult but i made it at the end. I can send you the docs I have.
 

pwm 3-phase ac motor control microchip

A simple motor pwm can be build as suggested by the Microchip application https://ww1.microchip.com/downloads/en/AppNotes/00967A.pdf. It could be used also as single phase pwm, e. g. for a split pole motor. However, usable speed range and torque at low speed would be considerably extended with a two or three phase motor.

Yes I did this project to control the speed of the AC motor. through PWM.

speed control final project+pdf

Recently, I made a DC drive, that was driving the 5 HP DC permanent motor in the closed feed back loop. It was made during a final year university project. I have given my drive to my group member for complete documentation and schematics, that design was analog in nature and doesn't use MCU units.

Is there some guy here done sth about step motor driver, i have confused by the use of chip UPD16835 of NEC. Since it has use feedback circuit to fuction PWM, then what is the fuction of chipper in the chip.

You seems to have a problem with the saved schematic on your file.I can't open it with Orcad 10.You check it.

It is done using expressPCB and expresssch. please use that software for seeing thecircuit. its free downloadable.

Express PCB says, it's not a valid file and it don't open it.

I could open the schematic with ExpressSCH, but it's basically a 8951 with some keys, relays and a power supply. The more interesting power stage isn't shown.

Yes FvM is correct, the way you are varying your frequency isn't shown in your diagram, as your telling me about doing PWM on AC motor, I haven't work on AC motors drivers that much. I know we do PWM or phase control on DC motor. How are you controlling your frequency with PWM in AC motor?

Apart from the solution, that ckshivaram could give, the Microchip application note mentioned previosly in this thread is a complete uP-controlled PWM solution. Microchip or Atmel have also several software examples for PWM variable frequency drive.
