about overcurrent

Could someone give me some advices for how to design a overcurrent(or short circuit) protection circuit for power amplifier IC's output stage. I use the pseudo source follower output stage.
Reference: "A High-Performance CMOS Power Amplifier" John A. Fisher
"Class-AB High-swing CMOS Power Amplifier" F.Mistlberger and R.Koch

Could you give some advices or references or diagrams?

Thanks in advance!

you can check some regulator or DC-DC design circuit. Normally you mirror the output stage current to a resistor, this resistor will connected to a bipolar, when overcurrent is big, the voltage across resistor will be big, which will turn on bipolar and get a logic indicate.

Thanks a lot!

Could you give me some reference paper, only the title is ok
thanks

Sencondly, mirrored the output stage current is a good way, but it will source a constant current during normal operation state, it waste power consumption. Any other ideas? thanks
