scheme for DC UPS

Hello experts,
I am trying to incorporate a DC UPS into project. But the off-the-shelf product is too expensive. Please refer to **broken link removed**.
I am proposing to use standard AC/DC module, which can be low cost, plus lead acid battery charging and power switch circuit to implement the same function.
Could you give me some advices about what scheme I can start up with? The simpler the better. Thanks.

Re: scheme for DC UPS

Tell us the DC magnitude of de output of your UPS first of all.

you can do the battery charguer and maybe you will have to build a converter if you want a regulable output voltage.

You must include protecion circuits (over current and over voltage in the input)

Give us the specifications that you wish for your UPS and we try to hel you.

Regards

Thanks for your reply.
DC UPS input voltage in 220VAC, nominal output voltage 24VDC. Use two SLA battery in series as standby power source. When AC dorps below 187VAC, power switches to battery automatically with zero crossover time. The max. load current is 20A. Battery capacity is 20Ah.

Re: scheme for DC UPS

A cheaper way is to design the rectifier and feed its output to a voltage regulator IC. Then incorporate the changeover switch.
Given your rated load current, the battery looks small especially if the battery is lead-acid.
