Hi Everyone here!
I have seen many times the long track designed in ZigZag pattern(like a Snake walk) on PCBs e.g. Motherboards, Development kits .
I know that when the track intended to carry differential signal they are need to lay down in twisted like pattern but don't know abt single tareck in Zigzag pattern.

What are technical reaons to do this specific design of the track?
For which kind of track this Zigzag pattern should be adopted?
Thanks in advance!

I AM BIT CONFUSED ABOUT THE QUESTION PLESE MAKE IT MORE CLEAR

Normally zig zag patterns are used to length match the trace with respect with the other signals in a set e.g. data, addres bus.

Thank You!
Why it is necessary to match the trace length?
Pls clearify!
regards

To keep similar delay time for that trace with other traces in " for example : a Data Bus"
parallel data bus traces should have similar delay time within certain accepted tolerance
sometimes , you length match that Group of Data Bus traces -their average lenght - with there Clock signal trace
