Dear frnds,

I am working on a project making use of USART module of ATmega32. I am sending certain AT commands from my MCU to a GSM kit and simultaneously observing the output on hyper terminal , however i notice that my program gets stuck while executing certain loops ... I suspect some timing errors... could anyone help me a little more on this ???? If the problem is indeed with the timing errors ...how do i remove them ??? I have done the settings for 9600 baud rate , with 8 Mhz crystal.

You need to show some code and cpu settings if you want help

Are you using internal oscillator or crystal? If you are using internal RC oscillator you need to calibrate it to get correct baud rate.
