communication over 220v

Hello everyone,

Does anyone of you know is there a cheap powerline(over 220V, 50Hz lines) communication module which would be bidirectional(for sending and receiving data, not at the same time), the bps speed is not important, it can be very low like 1200 bps, even smaller 600 bps or 300bps, and it has ttl inputs and outputs(rx and tx). I have heard for the PLM24, but I am interested in others also. The European variant of X10 equipment also interests me.

Bye.

i recommend Intellon chipset.

also you can find others for power line communicaion.

Hi polarized

There exist moduls for communicating in so slow baudrates over powerline. This standard is called 'LON'. Look with 'LON powerline' in google.

Bye

there are a kit of ST7537HS1 2400 bps modem on

Also have a look at HTH
h**p://www.hth.com/plm-24/plm-24.htm
Lots of info can be found @ ST website, do a search on ST7536, ST7537,ST7538.
The ST7538 is the best chip to go for, the output stage is integrated.
