ofdm oversampling

What is the meaning of oversampling in OFDM in Mobile WiMAX IEEE802.16e?
Please tell me in details its benefits?
and which blocks perform it in PHY layer?

Another Questions about Mobile WiMAX:
1-Subchannelization in Mobile WiMAX , Is it performed in PHY or MAC layer?
2-Adapive coding and modulation , Is it performed in PHY or MAC layer?
3-TDD frame structure and Bursts distribution , Is it performed in PHY or MAC layer?
4-Scalable OFDMA , Is it performed in PHY or MAC layer?
Or the PHY layer only performs IFFT and adding of Cyclic prefix?
5-I know that the preamble sequence in IEEE802.3 is 1010101...........1 of length 7 bytes , what is the corresponding sequence in Mobile WiMAX?
6-Is there Reed-Solomon in Mobile WiMAX?
7-Is there VBLAST in Mobile WiMAX?
-Note that: all of my questions about Mobile WiMAX IEEE802.16e specified in WiMAX Forum.
Thanks alot. :D

oversampling ofdm

Please , I do not want you to answer all this questions.
answer only what you know.
Please , I need answers urgently.

oversampling in wimax

1) subchannelization ill done in phy layer.
2) AMC - mac will receive info about channel condition and it ill alert phy to change modulation techniques(like QPSK,QAM)
4)s-ofdma is a modulation techniques done by phy
6) reed-soloman coding is there in 802.16d. but most implementaion they included reed-soloman coding in case of 802.16e
