pickit c compiler

If any one can direct me as to what c compiler I can get that suports the 16F690 Microchip I'd be very gratefull. I recently purchased the PicKit 2 microcontroler for beginners and found that it came with a C compiler for 17F & 18F series chips only...

mikroc pickit2

CCS C has a demo version, there's a link on Microchips site.
On the other hand if you want to upgrade to an 18F PIC C18 & Swordfish BASIC are much nicer.

Hi

are you working for swordfish ?

how come i see you in every single forum advertising for swordfish basic?

or do you have a crack for that compiler?

compiler support pickit 2 18f

Since Hi-Tech released their new pro compiler HiTech PICC is now a free download. It's the full version with no restrictions, I think some of the optmisations have been disabled.
It is also now bundled with Mplab.

I think this is'nt good idea for PicKit 2. He need compiler which can integrade to MPLAB IDE.

Try compilers which can select in instalation of MPLAB. I think CCS or PICC.
