hi everyone,

i want to build a circuit using a pic or atmel microcontroller to control a devices in home by using a mobile phone <any knid of mobile>

if there anyone have an information about this please pm me

Some newer mobile phones like Siemens x35 or S25 support Hayes AT standard with some extension for GSM like: SMS, phone book, network infos, etc

Hi

I have used the Sony Ericson GM29 cellular modem

You can send & receive SMS messages via RS232 interface

This modem cost around $120 and work for GSM network

You can also send Audio command via this modem for instance DTMF signal after esablishing a connection.
It's a bit simple idea from using SMS messages

You can search the net for the Sony-Ericson GM29 modem .
